I am a 42-year old husband and father. I was an avid computer gamer and DOF, F-stops and the like were foreign to me until my wife introduced me to photography. I began shooting during the latter part of March 2010 and quickly became addicted to it. I started this blog to share my journey and to learn along the way. Special thanks to my wife Eng who encouraged me and to all my friends in Blogosphere who shared their knowledge and taught me to further this craft. |

You do some interesting work with your photos.
I'm still pondering on those huge numbers of commenters you achieve on flickr - the coloured drops.
And here, how did you achieve that busy look? HDR?
Have you "helped" the sky to look that gorgeous?!:) Must be fascinating to be in a high wheel in such a moment!
The UK weather has been lovely and Spring like from what I have heard this week.
The "Eye" is too scary for me but very well and good to watch others go up in!
Beautiful composition!
Great HDR image dave fab sky! visited there myself last year.
Dave....Fabulous shot. I need to go drag out the picture taken of me on that thing the year it went up. It is a hoot and a half. The sky and the clouds are beautiful, the way you captured the Eye is awesome, and I love the leaning buildings. You really pulled off this shot superbly.
I don't think I have witnessed such an amazing sky in the 2 years I have been living in London.
And eberrhund, the London Eye is the least scary ride I have ever been on in my life, it is nothing to worry about.
Now that's a classic, from the city in which I was born but of which I have almost no memories.
I think it would be quite an experience seeing that sky from the Ferris Wheel Ride.
Dramatic sky - fun thanks to Mr. Ferris!
So much drama going on - the clouds must be having a disagreement over who gets to go on the Eye first!!

Wow--that is too cool. Those clouds are amazing. Mickie :)
Really wonderful!
I would love to ride that sometime. Very enticing shot.
I really like the detail that comes out in the wheel structure.
Love the composition and what a fantastic capture, Dave!
Fantastic feeling comes through in your photo. HOw do you do that?
That's a very dramatic sky over London, one of my favorite cities! :-)
Wow - what a vivid and intense sky! How pretty! I would love to make it over to see the London Eye in person... if I do, I hope it's as beautiful of a day as this one!
