I am a 42-year old husband and father. I was an avid computer gamer and DOF, F-stops and the like were foreign to me until my wife introduced me to photography. I began shooting during the latter part of March 2010 and quickly became addicted to it. I started this blog to share my journey and to learn along the way. Special thanks to my wife Eng who encouraged me and to all my friends in Blogosphere who shared their knowledge and taught me to further this craft. |

Dave what a sweet little robin. It was kind of him to sit still whilst you took his portrait! Such a beautiful photo, as always! Hope your having a wonderful weekend!
Lovely clicked one long back while walking from Lancaster to Morecambe! Had never seen them before.
Such a perfect autumn/winter scene. My favourite little bird.
what a pretty bird and a beautiful shot
How could you not love a robin? The background here is perfect too.
I envy you for capturing this moment! Yesterday I tried in vain to make a good photo of a squirrel with my non-professional camera...:( Still I "got" it!
~adorable little birdie you have captured...warm wishes and brightest blessings~

What a pretty picture!
Wow, amazing coloring! I've never seen a baby robin. Really love depth of field shots. Just lovely!
such an adorable creature. And very very beautiful photo.
Your photo is just so darned magical!!! I love the colors, and the composition. Super.
Texas Zoo in Victoria is my Camera Critters this week!! I hope to see that you can visit with me also.
Robins are kind of magical to me. I grew up in the city of Amsterdam and had only heard about Robins through a children's song. Thought they didn't really exist. Until I saw my first one when I was about 10 or 12 years old. Couldn't believe my eyes. And even though I see one or more Robins every day now, they still make me smile :-)
Beautiful shot.
What a lovely, lovely photo, Dave. I do love your work.

That's a YOUNG one there. Maybe getting ready for his first flight??? Great shot. Love the colors.

A perfect shot of this little cutie! :)
Hi, found your blog via Mustnag Sally.
I love this picture of a Robin, my favourite bird and for me the quintessential symbol of the English Winter.
Robins are just so cute! What a perfect shot.

I love the little robins you have in England. I like the North American robin too but they are not so cute. :)
She is the sweetest little robin I think I have ever seen - heart melting...
Sweet! Didn't know the UK robins were different from the US ones.
Hi Dave! Don't know why I don't always get your photos. Maybe something at this end?
Excellent capture. So crisp and so very clear.
Absolutely beautiful image. The colors are lovely, perfect DOF, and the most difficult thing to pull off when shooting wildlife, your composition is flawless. You have this little guy perfectly framed within the branches and even within the blue of the background.
What a cute little bird! Lovely image with great light and I love the way your framed this.
