I am a 42-year old husband and father. I was an avid computer gamer and DOF, F-stops and the like were foreign to me until my wife introduced me to photography.

I began shooting during the latter part of March 2010 and quickly became addicted to it. I started this blog to share my journey and to learn along the way. Special thanks to my wife Eng who encouraged me and to all my friends in Blogosphere who shared their knowledge and taught me to further this craft.

the unseen #2 - the eye

That must be an incredibly beautiful soul to have such a window. I've seen this shot done often, but only very rarely with this kind of depth and detail. The reflection of the lashes and the bokeh in the corner are the perfect foil for the textures in the iris.

(PS: I need a new commandment: "Thou shalt not covet they neighbor's macro lens.")

More of your surgical precision! Depth of field studies are amazing in your hands.

Wow, great details. The iris is a very interesting subject indeed.

your really so creative and unpredictable in your post. keep it up

I cannot believe that is the iris and pupil of an eye - talk about up close photography.

If I attempted this, you'd get the eye LID!! How accomplished you are in photography.
