I am a 42-year old husband and father. I was an avid computer gamer and DOF, F-stops and the like were foreign to me until my wife introduced me to photography.

I began shooting during the latter part of March 2010 and quickly became addicted to it. I started this blog to share my journey and to learn along the way. Special thanks to my wife Eng who encouraged me and to all my friends in Blogosphere who shared their knowledge and taught me to further this craft.

It's different from the other shot, I like them both.

It's beautiful and you get more of the shape of the cove in this one. It looks more unreal though - I think it's HDR? and I'm not sure I like the way the water turns out. Just personal preference - it's a great shot.

Frostbite and Sunburn

great shot - my parents used to take me here.

This is an absolutely stunning shot of a beautiful place.

Marie

OMG. What an amazing place. Look like paradise.

Nice composition of a pretty place. It sure looks more colourful with a blue - rather than grey - sky, doesn't it! Your post processing to bring out the vivid drama of the sky is great.

What a amazing shot! The sky is alive and the curvature of the cove really captures the eye. Beautiful colors. I guess you hiked to the top of the hill to get this shot...what a vista! By the way, I also use the Nikkor 18-200 mm lens. I love it. It's the only lens I use! I'm going to check out the rest of your blog now...

The Giraffe Head Tree

That large blue boat in the center brings the whole photo together. Great shot - beautiful.
