I am a 42-year old husband and father. I was an avid computer gamer and DOF, F-stops and the like were foreign to me until my wife introduced me to photography.

I began shooting during the latter part of March 2010 and quickly became addicted to it. I started this blog to share my journey and to learn along the way. Special thanks to my wife Eng who encouraged me and to all my friends in Blogosphere who shared their knowledge and taught me to further this craft.

Splendid. A terrific capture of a solitary moment in time.

This is amazing Dave ... to capture a falling leaf... I would love to see the same done with a feather!

Sandra

outstanding is my word for your falling leaf.

Ashley Sisk

Great capture. Was it falling or did you remove a hand?

James

Cool shot Dave! I know it can be fun and sometimes frustrating trying to capture falling leaves. :)

WOW!!! THIS SO COOL! Boy, did you hit the jackpot with this shot....falling. You were quick on the draw. Wish I could pull that one off someday. Gotta be in the right place at the right ti,e. The colors are beautiful and the way you were able to capture that moment in time and space is superb.

Very clever, with great DOF and bokeh. You've sure got the knack.

Exquisite capture as always, Dave! A leaf suspended in time! Thanks for the beauty, have a wonderful weekend!

Uhuh, yeah, as if... Fishing wire or clever photoshopping LOL (I don't believe anything anymore now I'm following a photoshop course). But seriously; great shot!

Al

Nicely done, with the midair capture and the artful blurring of the background.
