I am a 42-year old husband and father. I was an avid computer gamer and DOF, F-stops and the like were foreign to me until my wife introduced me to photography. I began shooting during the latter part of March 2010 and quickly became addicted to it. I started this blog to share my journey and to learn along the way. Special thanks to my wife Eng who encouraged me and to all my friends in Blogosphere who shared their knowledge and taught me to further this craft. |

It resembles an antique one. Is it really? I like the light that emphasizes the cracks...
Beautiful composition. Very nice eye.
And he said: Let there be light.
And Dave turned on the light... LOL ;)
It´st great! The light is just GREAT!
Wonderful shot!

I'm afraid I may sound like a parrot here, but I like the light and the texture too... LOL
Beautiful composition and beautiful lighting.

I'm always wow'd when I come here. This is no exception. Beautifully done. I really like the lighting.
I can't believe it, but you get better and better each day. this is so cool. your talent is showing again!
you should try to frame and sell some of these wonderful photos.
Hi, such a beautiful vase, it looks ancient. You have a very nice blog with beautiful photos! Thanks for your comments! :)
Your composition here is just perfect. What an elegant setting. The way the light appears in this is beautiful. I love it.
Dave this is simply fantastic! LOVE the lighting, it really brings out the texture in the vase
It is unusual to have a single vase tipped over in the frame of a photograph. I like the texture of the vase. It seems that you have lighting and f stops down pat. Excellent images.

Been going through your latest posts.. as I have been absent from getting around.. this one of the vase is so far my favorite of all of them..
lighting is perfect.. and the texture is amazing.. very VERY well done indeed!!
That's a museum book shot.
I was wondering if someone would quote Shakespeare on VDP today. I learned the whole soliloquy at school (which was the French school on Brompton Rd in London) in 1980-81 and still remember it... "the handle toward my hand? Come let me clutch thee..."
Perfect, just perfect! :)
again an impressive picture, love the light and structure !
amazing detail. you never fail to amaze me.
