I am a 42-year old husband and father. I was an avid computer gamer and DOF, F-stops and the like were foreign to me until my wife introduced me to photography.

I began shooting during the latter part of March 2010 and quickly became addicted to it. I started this blog to share my journey and to learn along the way. Special thanks to my wife Eng who encouraged me and to all my friends in Blogosphere who shared their knowledge and taught me to further this craft.

another perspective here, with the b&w conversion and composition i think the second one is better. what do you think?

Difficult to pick up between the two!

I like this one best, both are good but this one is striking to me.

Would they break to Callas?
I know my sense of humour is a bit strange, TGIF. Incredible how you catch the delicacy.

Low Key . Love it . Just love it and the light.

Wow... I must repeat myself, at every one of my visits, but yours pics are so wow... And this one is so delicate, this reflection is the glass is so poetical, so magical... Very nice shot.

I like this one with just a bit of color. I do like the arrangement a touch better on the B&W one. I'm always so glad to come to your blog. Sometimes I have to play catch up on a couple days, but that's always a pleasure too.

Dave, you do get some of the most delightful, wonderful, creative reflections and I love them!! You are GOOD! Have a great weekend!

Love the outlines of the left one -of course, I'm curious what setting you took LOL!

I prefer the one on your other blog, mainly because of the dynamic created by one of the glasses being on a diagonal.

What an amazing shot. The reflections are mesmerizing!

awesome! Both...

Have a great weekend

Great look, both the lightin and arrangement. Looked at your colored pencils, really like that photo!

I like this one better. That little hint of blue makes it fantastic :)

One of my favourites today:)

I saw you mentioned on Mad Snappers blog this morning and popped over to take a peek. Your photography is amazing. I can't believe you've only been doing this since March. You certainly must be a natural.
