I am a 42-year old husband and father. I was an avid computer gamer and DOF, F-stops and the like were foreign to me until my wife introduced me to photography. I began shooting during the latter part of March 2010 and quickly became addicted to it. I started this blog to share my journey and to learn along the way. Special thanks to my wife Eng who encouraged me and to all my friends in Blogosphere who shared their knowledge and taught me to further this craft. |

~never seen this little critter...you make it look quite fascinating...almost as if he glows...beautiful...warm wishes and brightest blessings~
He looks like a gummy bear with silver arms and legs attached. :)
Very cool shot of the interesting little fellow!
(Carletta's Captures)
It is an aphid - probably a juvenile.
What a pretty little critter, very colorful photo!
Very cool critter and an awesome macro shot!
What a spectacular capture! A macro lens has been on my wish list for a long time.
he's beautiful, such a cool green tint
I love your work, it always makes me smile
Such a beauty and how did the plant macros came?
WOW! What a terrific picture! I'm thrilled! This little guy is a plant louse, that is really something that we can not stand on our plants. A pest, but it is always just a matter of perspective. Because in your case, it has become a wonderful photo.
Wow! Good micro capture!!!
Yes he is up to no good as far as the plant is concerned. You made him look beautiful though.
Oh wow, what a greAT capture!
Hope you can visit My Camera Critters too. Thanks.
I am now a follower of your blog.
Wow this is an incredible picture ... I won't see aphids the same way again! I thought they would be ugly up close like human lice! You made him look rather cute... terrific macro shot!
WOW! Amazing shot! Looks like a gummy candy to me... yum! LOL. This is really a great shot.
Very cool! This is one of the reasons why I love macro shots of plants!
Nope, don't know him, but greeeeaaaat macro!
What a beauty!
WOW!! I agree with you, almost transluscent. And I don't know this guy either
Very sharp detail - it's interesting when you go to photography one subject in mind, and then end up shooting something altogether different.
An enemy of Spiderman?!? I'm usually not terribly fond of critters and bugs, but some are so fascinating and beautiful under a skilled photographer's lens...
Wow! Stunning! Now, sorry to say, I haven´t seen him before....*LOL*
Afraid I don't know what it is unless it's a very, very young grasshopper or something. I love the color though! Microscopic he may be, but nothing escapes Dave and his macro lens!
