I am a 42-year old husband and father. I was an avid computer gamer and DOF, F-stops and the like were foreign to me until my wife introduced me to photography.

I began shooting during the latter part of March 2010 and quickly became addicted to it. I started this blog to share my journey and to learn along the way. Special thanks to my wife Eng who encouraged me and to all my friends in Blogosphere who shared their knowledge and taught me to further this craft.

I've just found your blogs. They are amazing! You've caught wonderful moments. I can see things unseen. Your photos give the opportunity to discover so many unnoticeable with a normal eye details and to realize what beauty is hidden deep in nature.

Annelie

Nice! The second one is much more interesting!

Mridula

You can add birds and cloud? To me that is a little surprising.

Biana

LOl. you're really good with photoshop, Dave (assuming you use photoshop). I haven't got the skills to take advantage of the manipulative side of photoshop :) Did you cut the birds and clouds from another photo?

Annelie

Thank you for your thoughtful comment on my blog, you are so kind my friend!
I´m okey, it wasn´t so bad, just a little cut!*LOL* Maybe it´s a good think to "shake my head" a lttle bit!

Great job on putting a little editing there, it makes it pop out more.

I love to see a real castle someday. Lucky you - they are at your disposal.

Is this open to the public?

COOL! How did you do that. I checked this out earlier but didn't leave a comment because I was already late at work. There were two photos here before and after. now, only one and changes when you hover the mouse on the pic. Amazing.

LadyFi

Oh, I like both pictures, but the edited one is just dazzling!

Unknown

well done! how did you do that?! so cool!

Pat

I really like the changes you made in the original photo. The edited one looks completely natural and spectacular. Well done.

Carolyn Ford

What a difference! I like how you can see the before and after...I'm stumped as to how you did that. This is such a beautiful scene and so nicely enhanced.

Mojo

Just the right amount of editing. I wouldn't have thought to add the cloud (or the birds). Definitely adds some interest to the image!

Perry

I see you got the mouse-over to work! Great job on the edit and showing b4&after. The shot really did need the cloud & birds.

Suburban Girl

I like that mouse over. Very nice. The clouds add a lot.

Carol

Great photo nicely edited. Didn't know clouds could be added and birds! Love the mouse over thing....

Dianne

I loved being able to mouse over
made me feel so powerful ;)

I love the mouse over concept to compare your enhanced version to reality.

Kathy

Is this your house? Tee-hee! If you keep taking such wonderful photos, perhaps someday it will be, Maestro!

Carletta

Excellent processing!
